The process of the CO2 extraction was calculated and proper product sizing was identified. Ensuring components are Stainless Steel material used for food grade equipment. Since the process need pressures of 2000 - 3000psi, a safety factor is necessary that each component meets or exceed the process certification.

Key Points to keep in mind:

Vessel Volume/ Material Amount

• 2.5L = 1lb of Botanical
• 5.0L = 2lb of Botanical
• 10.0L = 5lb of Botanical

Run Time

• supercritical CO2 has a suggested run time of 1-2 hours per lb of dry material.
• note:  increasing the size of the system (2.5L, 5.0L, 10.0L) does not expedite the extraction time.  Rather, the size of the system determines how long until you need to refill the machine with a new batch of botanicals.
